Does it look anythink like this:
I think you'll find they were twin 45's IIRC. What do you want to know about it?

Whoa...
Nice find Kam. Nice O2 as well. What's the story with that then.
Obviously an '02 with twin dellorto's but what about that intake system?

Damn!
Is that in a 2002?
I would like to know boost running on it and is there any internal modifications?

Sure is buddy, take a look at the front grilles!

Sweet at was looking at the struts

Hold on....
Not an '02.... too much beer and I got all excited
It's not an '02, although the grill view from the bonnet outwards looks like it, the slam panel and strut tops are different. The fusebox is also a dead giveaway. Also the brake servo location is up the chuff too.
Must be an E21

Sorry to disappoint dudes, she was running in this:
I owned her quite a few years back. I bought her from a guy in Sevenoaks in Kent. He and his dad were quite minted and into racing, and he got this engine from somewhere and dumped it into the E21. I bought it from him a couple of years after this, and it needed a lot of work to the engine, i.e. tidying up pipework, needed a better intercooler etc. Don't know what boost and internal mods were made, I had her for about a year before I got my 323, but she was farily quick.
All I know is I did a bit of work to her, sold her to a guy up the street from me, who in turn sold it to some guy in Southall, West London some months later who wanted the engione for a 2002 he had. And that was it. Apparently Krakatoa did some bespoke turboing back in the 80's, but apart from this I've never come across them.
She was a fun motor to have, but my 323 is better!

That is an interesting colour for an E21 Kam.
I don't suppose you would care to share some details of your 323 with perhaps a pic or two?
I am a huge fan of E21's and I miss my 323i terribly

Thanks for the kind words Tristan. She's still got some way to go, but like most of us time and money are the things that slow us down.

Thanks for the link Kam.
Very nice looking car you got there. Just about my dream 323i as well!
I do have last month's BMW car magazine. Didn't realise it was that one.
You still thinking of selling? I am not sure I could do it....

I was thinking of selling last year when they did the photoshoot and article, but circumstances have changed so am keeping it as long as I can. I'm hoping to sort some more power out and get her running the way I want, and then hope to move on and get the bodywork sorted out properly. Just takes time and money and lots of patience!
