Great that you're getting there!
Can't wait till it's done!!
I'd be a bit scared to drive that with 300bhp+ especially in the wet
It'll be awesome!!
After my exams and that, I'll be able to come down and help if you need.

pretty satisfying taking a 3.5 out on your own isn't it karan
jumping around on top of the engine sounds familiar! feels sooooo good when you finally have it hanging free off the hoist.
i cheated the last time though, when i took my engine out of the e34 it came from the guy brought out a stihll saw and cut the front of the car off, but it did have the autobox still attached lol
my e30 is still sitting on the road sulking, i ain't touched it yet. drove my mr2 today for the first time in 9 months though, new engine and box i put in seem pretty sweet but the rest of it has about rusted away, bring out the welder!

I think the Ferrari's,porshes, AMG's are all going to confused when they see this 318iS whoops them while making some very nice noises.
Have you given yourself a target as to when this is going to be finished?

i thought the blue was nice,...... do ppl think it is crap? just thought id tidy the whole loot up while i was there.....
target is by end of july....
i acquired all e36 rack bits and have had the spacer kindly made by my uncle...
nxt is the brake booster bits which i hope to have by end of tmro.. waiting for a call back to say that the car im getting them off has been broken.
after that... time to drop the lump in! and 'massage' the shell into submission..
then exh manifold needs to be made...

which is gonna cost a bit..
thats it really....lol
will post some pics when rack, and mabe brakebooster stuff is in by the weekend..

cracking on well there karan, have you not been to bed since last weekend or what
good feeling when the engine finally breaks free
last e34 i went in was a m5, f**king thing was a missile, and that was pulling nearly 1750 kgs!!
just think what m5 powered e30's are going to be like
we may have to put an order in for some 'g' suits
where did you find the paint for the suspension
looking good there though mate

thought id try and stick the engine in tyoday for a provisional fitting in postion 2 (slightly ahead of my final desired position), just to get an idea of which areas of the shell are gonna need a beating....
it plonked straight in which is nice, but i am gonna have to get an e28 m5 radiator anf thermostat housing as there is no way the e34 m5 ones are gonna fit!!!!! i think euros or someone must have the rad, and for the thermo housing and pipes i think the stealer should have them cheapish...
estimated completion date is mid july now i think, as i wont be working on it til mid june now.....
heres some pics, note the engine will be 1.5 inches back from this position, and it will be atad cleaner aswell LOL
its a long old thing isnt it!!!

shes sitting on the wrong position..... it needs to go back into the next hole (postition 3) which was my plan anyway. this conversion can only be done in position 3 as a result of the large timing chain cover causing the dizzy cap to be firther forward than a normal m30 3,5

Looking cool mate !
Is it just sat on the sub frame/jacks for now ?
It's probobly just the way the pictures look but it looks like the engine is sitting a little to much to the drivers side ?
It's going to be the dogs swingers when it's all done mate !
