M50 Heater Flows

How have other M50 users plumbed in their heater, mine never seems to throw much heat, fan runs OK (though highest speed is missing!), wondering if the pipe has been connected wrongly.

Or do the M20 cars have poor heaters too?

Thanks

Nothing wrong with E30 heaters. More than adequate for UK use. Heater in my M50 is just as good as in my M20 cars.
The connection from the 'tee' hose goes to the top heater stub.
Very unusual for fan to work on lower speeds but not at full speed! Almost impossible. Must be the switch.

It's my age Brian, the bloods getting a bit thin and I think you're right about the switch, it's jumped a position (if that makes sense!)

I often run a de-scaler such as Viakal or Calgon through matrix's to make them more efficient. Somethimes works.

Some have shortened the stub pipes and taken flexible hoses into the cabin. (Technically contravenes construction and use regs.), but I did it by turning the pipe to the water valve upside down. Just requires the removal of a small locating tab.
