Its alot of work fitting those engines in an e30.
The fact that it is a 3 litre makes it a bit pointless. They are around 220bhp as far as i know.
If your going to do it then stick the 4 litre in.

I agree with Jon, get yourself a 4 litre if you want to go to the trouble of fitting it.
You allready have the manual box so at least the 3 litre wasnt a waste
3 litre = 218bhp 229lb/ft
4 litre = 286bhp 295lb/ft
No contest really

For that kind of money, would you be upset if the engine went pop ?

you can run 6 psi ok which will give you just over 400 bhp .
Dont think their is space for an eaton but could squeeze in a more compact centrifugal type
Stripping these engines are big bucks . Around 600 notes just for gaskets

so 6psi that better than i was thinking and if i get close to 400hp i be really happy it would make fitting the 3litre alot less of a wast of time especially now i just sold the lethers and alloys for 400quid so the engine cost nout and i am 200quid up and still alot of car left to sell.

so i would be looking at about 300hp on the 3 litre rufley depending on psi etc.

Good plan, fit the bargain engine and get V8

. Easy upgrade to 4L or 4.4L in the future
