318(m40)-318is(m42)

hi,i live in malaysia n own a e30 318i rhd and would like to swap the engine to a m42.the problem is its allmost impossiblemto find a e30 m42 arround here and only the e36 m42 is available.my question is can i fit the wiring loom from the e36 without any modification?has anyone done this before?pls advice...tq
