Fuel Pumps on turbo conversions

Hey All,
Got a quick question, what fuel pumps are the boost jukies on here using on their setups? i'm interested in fuel pumps which can supply enough fuel for around a 250 - 300 bhp setup. I've got an M20 2.3 lump in my E21, not sure what fuel pump I got, but want to take it to the next stage and up the boost. Injectors i think are cossie green standard ones, and she has already pulled 190bhp / 220lb/ft on the rollers at 5 psi. I need abigger turbo and want to make sure fuelling is up to the job before a remap.
Thanks.
Kam

Get a walbro 255, widely used upgrade on scoobies, cossies etc
Direct fit and many on ebay all the time!
Toby Unna used a copy one and has no issues at all, even with 330rwhp!
Stock will handle quite a bit tho and you have another bar of pressure to use if needed.
HTH, Mark.

http://www.treperformance.com/FuelPumps ... Pumps.html
fits in place of original pump unit, cheaper than OE replacement from euro car parts etc
doing 330bhp at the wheels on my car and seems perfectly happy

Cheers for the info guys, just realised (having a blonde moment) that my E21 has an external fuel pump, not an in tank one like the E30's. Doh

! will have to look at some other options, maybe see what the cossie boys use? Thanks for the advice anyways.

isn't here an in-tank lift pump to get fuel to the main pump?

POST EDITED:
I've just checked on REALOEM and they show what looks like an in tank pump, I didn't think there was one on E21's due to the low psi required of the fuel pump for the fuel feed to the K-Jet. I am checkin with some E21 guru's on another forum and I know there is deffo an external pump on my car, not too sure about the in tank one. Hope i do have one, then I can go with the above suggestion.
Is this 2 pump setup the same on your car then Toby? I take it you only upgraded the in tank pump and the other was OK to provide enough fuel or did that need upgrading too?

no, facelifted e30s just have 1 high pressure internal pump.
i was thinking you could replace the lift pump with a high pressure one as above (if yours has a lift pump...)

i use a walbro escort cosworth motorsport fuel pump thats meant to handle up to 500bhp so is more than enough for me. it was a direct swap for the e30 unit and cost less than a standard e30 pump

Yeah, looks like mine only has 1 external pump, although the Australian versions of the E21 did have an intank lift pump tp prime the main pump. I think the Saff 4x4 cossies have an external pump with carrier which should be good for around 300bhp. Back to the drawing board. . .
