Have a spark plug out and see if it's covered in soot.

A flooded engine would be my guess.

Turbo's not relevant to it starting - turbo's not spinning at start up - unless, of course, the cylinders are full of bits of turbo.
Check sparks, fuel, compression, timing in that order - same as any non starting engine.

Fuel pump relays are a common fault, happened to me.check this also.

Hmm just called, guess you're on nights ?

Anyways, when you cycle the igintion on/off you should hera the fuel pump prime for two seconds ( whirring noise)

Assuming that happens its not the fuel pump or relay.

plug in the laptop, power it up , then power the ignition again dude, the live data display should help with diagnosing the problem, assuming all the displays are in the normal range and none are RED, then crank the engine over and check the rpms display agrees with the tach on the car.

the engine MAP sensor ( kpa display) should show 98kpa ish @ rest, lower on cranking , if the Kpa is unchanged then the Map sensor feed line may have come adrift.

Lemme know OK

Yep, big smile on my face again, thanx to that man Ant!!! after loads of checks and tests, it was believe it or not down to a slipped thru the net dodgy m/s ecu... well only one wire which controls the spark dropped off its solder?? but yeah, all sorted now. :D :D :D :D :D

Hmmmm, was it a simple dry joint, or had the solder melted perhaps pointing to something overheating? :o

thought the same Alex, the wire itself had come adrift but it was the signal to the FET, not the power handling side, weird for sure, Back up and running the FET's run cool enough to touch, infact the inj drivers run warmer than the coil ones, all are barely warmer than ambient when compared to bare alloy.

If the FET had failed, the damage would have been obvious, almost certainly would have melted. strange, annoyng but not the end of the world :D

How bizarre!

Can't beat the good ol' electrical gremlins tugging at wires and the like, good that it's sorted now! :D

the fuel cut seem better suited to in town driving on the revised settings ?

I lifted the boost cut limit a little yesteday, shoul not be able to trigger it now.

 another addict

alot better Ant, thanx, i did accidentally go full throttle at one stage though, then i remembered that i havent got a map setting for that.. hope it doesnt do damage? i checked the temp of the ecu again and its still cold mate, so job well done! cant wait to turn up psi dude, just about to put bleed valve on now! :D
