Which M3 evo are you talking about? If, as i suspect, you are talking about the 3.2 from the e36, it can definately be done and there are quite a few people on here that have done the conversion.
Good luck mate

Im in the middle of doing an S50B30 conversion at the mo'
A rough price breakdown (please feel free to add or take away if u have any other costs)
Engine complete, loom, Ecu - 1500-2000
Gearbox 200 - 400
E30 M3 prop 100
E34 M50 sump 50
New manifold (modded) 400 - 600 (could be cheaper depending who u know)
custom exhaust - manifold back (or standard M3 stuff) 200-400
E28 M5 engine mounts 100 (new)
LSD 150
VW brake servo 20
Audi 200 master cylinder 20
Modification to the dipstick 10 - 50 (depending how you do it)
M20 water temp sensor 15
Various other mods like mountings for oil cooler and air box etc etc 50
Thats just stuff i can think of that ive had to do so far....
But there is probably more.
Those prices are just for parts only. Wouldnt have a clue how much someone would charge to do the conversion. But after ive finished mine, i would like to take on another one. (but your a bit far away) lol
So a rough parts price guide would be about 3.5k

Yep your right, there we go - some more to add to the list.
Service parts, nuts, bolts, gaskets and o-rings.
They all add up, as Jhonno said.

This thread is a good place to start.
http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... velopments
It does discuss M50 and S50, but is a very good starting point.
