Was going to go for 2.5ltr V6 or a V8 but i miss having my turbo punto GT, so now want one in my beemer
Thanks for your time, Matt

To start with you'll need to ditch the m40 engine if you want to do an m10 turbo project.
A manifold as Kos said, possibly off a 2002 turbo, or an adapter.
A turbo T3 i would think, maybe a cossie one
Megasquirt
FMIC(possibly off a volvo)
Mandrel bent exhaust and charge pipes
Lamba sensor and boss for megasquirt
And some decent brakes

You have the wrong car to start with...
M10 engines are only in pre 88 cars, if you have a m40 engined car its later than this. The main engine wiring si different in these cars and apperently very different, you have to change pretty much everything.
You can turbo cahrge your m40 but it will cost loads and you will never get any good gains, far better to ditch it and start with a m20 or m20 6 cyclinder engine.
If you get a m10 engined car things are more simple, but the manifold pictured above I think may only be sutible for LHD cars.
I have only ever seen one RHD turbo m10 and the whole engine had been twisted in order for the manifold/turbo to fit.

it will fit RHD, i have spoken to the manufacturers about it

now thats taking it too far, any one skilled with a welder doesn not have to go to these extreames

IIRC, some turbos and other bits left over from the Brabham-BMW F1 days were sold off somewhere recently. 1200 HP !!!

Hi
Alot of 2s & e21 are turboed f you google you will find. pro turbo in finland still make manifolds, 02 turbo manifolds rare & expensive, until last year there was a m10 turbo racecar making 350 now an s14 turbo making more. there were a lot of aftermarket turbo kit sinthe states with turn up on ebay.com from time to time.
you want an 02 r s14 crank as they are forged.

Im planing to put a turbo on 1.6 engine. I know i can get more power from other engines (i have M50 in my driftcar at the moment), but just got another E30 with M10 1.6 engine and i want to make this my longterm project.
How much power can stock pistons take ? Ill probably want alot of boost, so ill probably need forged pistons right ? Does s14 or 2002 crank fit to 1.6 engine ?
What do you guys with turbo M10 do with head and air intake / fueling ? I would like to go oldschool with carbs or maybe some sort of ITBs. Any sugestions ?
