E30 Zone

I know you've probably heard this one a million times before but here goes anyway,

i want a different engine for my 318i, i want something with a bit of beans and was thinking along the lines of rover 3.5ltr V8 but what sort of problems will i have fitting/running it?

or what about fitting a mini cooper s supercharger to a 325/bmw engine? can it be done and would it be worth it?

and a bit of a stange one what about a jag 3.2 or 4ltr engine? there big old girls would they fit?

If it's easier, what bmw lump could i drop in without much fuss its going to be an on going project when time and money allow!!

dont want to seem thick but what basics do i need to an engine conversion? engine, gearbox, propshafts etc.....

A mini supercharger won't work on a 325, it's too small.

What kind of power do you want?

Whats your budget?

Get yourself an m10 engine and turbo that, it would take a shed load of boost with some top end work. Then you don't have to change engine mounts etc etc that you do on a 3.5. A lot of work, but they can produce serious serious power. And it would be very unique.

Good idea Jon, them m10 engines sure can produce some power!
