Hello everyone on e30zone.net :)
I have a few questions on BMW E30 swap M57D30 from E46. I wanna change my engine but my time place and time is limited that's why I'm asking for help so I can do it with fewer worries :)
Right now in my E30 is M51b25 diesel Engine from E34 and I have wired everything with the help of https://www.jamesfawcett.co.uk/m51-tds- ... e30-notes/ so it wasn't that hard it was 2 and half years ago when I did it. You maybe wanna know why I want to put a 3.0d engine and the answer is that the head gaskets are just bad for m51 engine and the heads are hard to get in good conditions it's my third head I have changed and I'm tired to buy new heads and gaskets victor reinz.
I know that I need oil pan from BMW e38 3.0d diesel and I guess the e46 engine mounts I don't need to weld or modify but what about the engine pillows? I probably will have to modify gear shift to be in the right place may be, will have the modify driveshaft. Right now I'm stuck in my head what to do about the wires to work with pedals, instrument cluster and will I have to modify so my abs still work?
I would be really grateful and appreciated if someone could help me out it would mean a world for me.

Edit: Asked on the wrong e30 forum! I have figured out with the help of wds.

You are definitely doing something wrong when you are replacing the head gasket on your m51d25 engine

I've personally driven those engines in e34 and in E36's for years and they are absolutely bulletproof. The ONLY thing that ever goes wrong of those engines is the fuel pump seals start leaking at around 150k miles.

Seriously, 3 head gaskets in 2.5 years for those engines is NOT normal

The bullshit head gasket goes wrong only after driving over 200km/h for few km. Turbo pressure is 2.3 bar.
