Hello all you bmw enthusiast's!

Im embarking on an epic maiden voyage, transplating an e36 325i in to my poor gutless e30 316 touring. Now, being my first ever engine swap i was wondering whether any of you, with experience of this swap, could point me in the right direction in terms of problems or hints!!

This is what i have so far, parts wise..

I've got an absolute steal in terms of engine and ancillaries.
I paid £500 and got
-325i engine and box
-big bore throttle bodies and intake manifolds
-exhaust and downpipes
-loom and ecu
-propshaft
-radiator
And all ancillaries to go with..

Im in process of sourcing a e34 sump but cant get a reply from anyone breaking an e34.

In your opinion, am i missing anything i may need to make this build possible?

The only thing im not looking forward to is the wiring section of the swap, is it a major ballache? Or fairly straight forward?

Apologies for the long post, but i couldn't find anything that answers my questions(probably because i was looking in the wrong places).

Thankyou for reading, i hope some of you can clear this up for me :D

We also have a complete sub forum devoted to this: http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... forum&f=56
Don't worry about the wiring - all it essentially consists of, is removing an E36 multi pin plug from the end of the engine loom, and replacing it with the equivalent from an E30.
