i can rebuild you a bottom end you wont need anything balancing its just not worth it maybe a lightend flywheel

Thanks for reply Ross. Price wise I'm not sure what it will cost hence the reason why I'm trying to find out.

Yes I'll be using standard rods, as far as I know they are forged. Apparently they come Standard( I might be wrong) All the Main and big end shells will be changed , with Arp studs for the main bearings

In what sense the balancing is not worth it? Cost wise? Or its pointless?

I'm based in London and the engine in question is M30 b35

Could you PM with a price

I'd have to have a sit and work it out and find prices for that engine
I take it you want it completely assembling aswell?
balancing ain't worth it the m30 is just for pure torque and low reving so pointless

Turboing the M30 can be done on standard internals as it is to about 400bhp, and that's being the safe side.
You need to start thinking about all the rest when you go above that figure.

tuning on any bmw engine while going fi is up most important

True, but many have done this over in the states, running on stand alone management, and whacking on a turbo, with a few other bits, while no internal messing.
Oh, and the engines are still going. :D

Yes Ross, very strong when looked after.
It's when they're not serviced regular that kills them.

I'm hoping to go above that figure the guy who supplied me with the kit said I was good for above that
I'll be using
Custom made and forged pistons( made by Paul Burke) which will drop the comp ratio about 1 point

MLS gasket with ARP hardware

And all the other stuff which he sized which will be good for my target BHP

m30 turbo are good but m30 don't like to be revved hard toby bunna made some serous poke was good
you will struggle to go above 400bhp dont belive any bull as 400 bhp is a hard target to hit all i say is design it welland it will last...
cheers
ben
who sold you m30 turbo kit ?

There lot m30 turbo builds in the states and some have reached around 500-600bhp quite easy with very little work. iMHO it comes down to tuning , correct sizing and building according to the build projects I've read

The kit was supplied by Todd at TCD
