any engine management is only as good as the user implements it.
You can buy the best top dollar system, if you key shite in you will get shite out.

You will only need omex 600 for 4 pot, I had to buy 710

But well worth it.

Hi, mines running on emerald ecu
http://www.emeraldm3d.com/
Not saying its the best but i'm impressed with it and has worked well for the last few years with out any problems.
The big plus for me was at the time when megasquirt was quite new and there wasnt much help in terms of mapping, with the emerald you could always go down to see dave walker to get it mapped or give him a ring if you had any problems.
Also if you did go emerald i might be able to help with a map to get it running well enough to drive to a rolling road to get it mapped properly as long as your not going to far

Got mine from spoox motorsport, there about the cheapest. They also do mapping.

I was looking at a prebuilt Megasquirt from a guy in the UK but by the time it was speced up to a similar spec to the Emerald, it was more expensive
IMO avoid DTA, had nothing but problems with them on some of the race cars I work with.

does dave walker do a fixed price mapping session because I'm sure i read elsewhere that it was £250 for a full map no matter how long it takes?
also do any emerald users use the switchable 3 maps offered?
although i haven't bought mine yet its on my conversion list after also finding a high spec vems ecu is nearly the same price !!

I would travel a fair distance to get m car mapped by Dave Walker.
Every "saving" you are going to make getting the ECU mapped closer at your place might become much more costly than you would like.

Hi, ya I have the three map option on mine although I only realy use two and have one with a 1500rpm rev limit for security when its parked up.
I payed for the rollers for the day and he did two maps for me, I've been back since and as he had done me a part map for running in he just charged me 90 to finish it off as he had split the day to get two other cars on that just needed a tweek even though he must have been half the day on mine.
