316/318 engine transplants

hi, im new to bmws (been in to vw for years) and im looking at getting a e30, the only good ones near me are 16/18s and i was wondering what engines go in nice and easy?

Have a little look around this section of the forum. Easiest will be a standard m20b25.

Rich, I'm in Haxby and have a 316 which now has a 2.8 24v engine. Contact me if you'd like to take a look at what's possible etc
