I have a 1.8 auto in at the moment which is pretty lame. Is it worth putting a m42 in or would bigger be better?

cabbies are heavy so you need a 6 pot i wreckon.m52 if u like happy revving engine or a m30 if u like cruising with little effort.

I'd say no because Cabrios are for cruising and M42s like a thrash.

M30 it, you'll never look back.
You can "Cruise" at 20mph in 5th gear, no clutch judder, and it'll go off the clock if need be

M52B28, nice torquey cruiser that doesn't require it's own fuel tanker to run about in.. Can even shift if you feel that way inclined :)

Bigger is always better as they say :D

However an m42 manual would be a better upgrade than what you allready have in, and would possibly be a lot easier to fit than an m30 m52 etc
