Ive got a manual gearbox from an E36 1995 320i and propsaft, would this be ok to fit the s50b30 or does it HAVE to be 328 box and prop.If so whats the difference?
It is to be fitted to my E30 316.

Doesn't make a difference what e30 you are fitting it to..
I would be dubious about the clutch being up to the task. 328i boxes and props are hardly expensive..

What difference is the clutch going to make to the gearbox?

You wont get a 320i box over the S50 flywheel/clutch

Think youll find he means putting the all the power of an S50 through a 320 clutch, might have trouble coping

So has the 328 box got a bigger bell housing than he 320. is that the difference?

So will the propshaft be the same?

Props are different, so is 90% of the gearbox. 2.8 uses a ZF large bell housing box, most 2.0's use a Getrag box
Whats wrong with a 320i clutch? Apart from the weight issue! Im quite sure it would be fine TBH
