Which Hose?

Im busy installing a temp switch to activate my electric fans for cooling, was wondering which pipe should i fit the switch in? i have a 84 deg switch, is it better on the top radiator hose on the left or the bottom one on the right...
Please help

If you can't use the tapping (because it isn't there), it will have to go in the top hose, but as near to the rad as possible.
It needs to be activated by the temperature of the radiator water, not the engine water.

Dont u mean the bottom hose coz thats when the water comes through the radiator and into the engine, the top hose is the one that comes out of the motor??? i might be wrong but thats my understanding...

Coolant flow is from the top of the radiator to the bottom.
