I'm hoping to get hold of some H&R 60/40 springs for the touring, will have B6 front dampers fitted.
Am I aiming for trouble with the sump?

It has been so long i can not remember what springs i have on there.
but its a -60mm all around, but i will be going -40mm so i can get some 225 or 235 on the back to cope with the power of the S50.
to answer your question, (are you looking for trouble with the sump?) Yes you are. i have 18"s & -60mm and still it seats scary low to the ground (the sump).

i have a 40mm drop front/rear, spax springs & kyb shock absorbers.
my sump has made contact a couple of times. i am going to make a guard out of 10mm alloy plate.

I don't know mate, I got mine secondhand from Si13, they look like new though
B6 if you want to go 60mm or more
B8 for 35-40mm drop

35mm H&R's here and it's annoyingly low..
Dafs was round before and was on about removing his 60mm springs for fear of his sump.. I dont blame him as mines worrying me

I had 60 spax springs on the front but it was more like 80, they were too soft TBH, I ended up raising the spring seats to lift the front end 10 or 15mm
You just have to keep it in the back of your mind when driving on unknown roads
On 16's

Just been out to take a photo of mine - it has -60mm Spax on it which as Bob_S said I'm going to change. The sump is even lower than the splitter
Sorry about my shoddy photography but there's about 80mm ground clerance between floor and the splitter

Those springs are lethal with M50 weight!

They are coming off before it goes on the road! I have a speed bump on the way to work and it will never make it over that
I'll post some before and after pictures when I put the 40mm springs on. so you can have a comparison with the same car and camera angle (possibly)!

They seem to be hard to get ATM, one of the sites lists Eibach cheaper than H&R!

I think I will give the 60mm front drop a miss then and go no more than 40. I'm planning on staying on 15's.
I have over 20 speed humps to contend with to get to work

Dont buy spax then, mine were only any good once id fitted the inverted billies, still a bit soft but ok for a daily driver, even so I wont use them again

My car is STILL up on axle stands

but I reckon the sump is at least an inch lower than an M20 one,and slightly further forward, think I will have to mod the front undertray today before it goes back on.Go more than 40mm lower at your peril Beemerlad,I have driven on your estate!!

Further to this,my front undertray has re-fitted without mods, just touches the front of the sump, but the sump sits around half an inch below the undertray, the M20 is level with it.
