Does anybody know a part number or what the likes of gsf/ecp call them. I can't find on.
Here's what I'm after. I know they're used in various vag applications and probably lots more.

if you're not running a lot of boost >1 bar then any of the standard bosch valves should be fine.
If however you plan on regularly going above that then you'll need the one from the audi tt 225bhp model, its a specific year, I think 2003. I'm sure google will throw up the right results with a quick search if thats what you need.

more than you ever wanted to know. key thing being that i believe the sport 110 and the 114 are pretty much the same thing.

It's a bosch 710N valve and they are about £15. Mine loves 1.4 bar of boost on the S2.

Nice one S2Avant. I'm still having trouble finding one. Chu above decided 10+postage was an insult - lol Sounds about right to me given that they're 15 new.

Is it an ABY engine sir?
1.4 bar of boost is a bit above standard isn't it

280bhp?
I had an audi 100 s4 and loved it. AAN engine, what a great engine that was.

Yeah - good call matt but I already had one fail on me (it was 2nd hand) so I thought I'd just try and get a couple of new ones.

I have concerns Ash.
I used two HKS SSQ BOV on Racecars and destroyed one very quickly using it as bypass for the SC.
those Bosch vlaves are great on TC cars where they pop open and shut fast, but being held open by the charger would result in rapid failure I think, especially given the high charge temps those Eaton blowers create.
it needs to flow a lot of CFM to dump the unwanted boost reliably dude !

Hmm. That's not good news for me Ant. If the HKS stuff couldn't cope then I'm sure the bosch stuff will break even quicker
I've thought about a turbo waste gate of maybe an EGR valve but that's quite a bit of trouble for me to be able to adapt - the 25mm dump valves pop straight in to my 60mm/25mm t-piece.. One proved to flow now where near enough at motor way RPMs that's why I was gonna add two. On reflection of what you said I guess I need to re-think.

I'am running a piston type baileys one and its bees spot on seince ive had the car.

bit more expensive to start with but probly cheaper in the long run rather than keep buying the plastic ones

TO be fair, Racecar had much bigger displacement charger so we were on a looser from the outset.
iirc, Dips used twin Baileys on his touring sucessfully.

Hmm... decisions.
Matt what sized ID is your bypass? I found a single 25mm didn't flow enough at motorway rpms and realy kept the charger loaded. Maybe that's just the bosch ones?

Indeed it is an ABY - 280bhp and six speed quattro. It has been re-mapped to 1.4 bar and the wastegate spring is standard and in the original position.

Looks like a tdi with a big bumper.

Avants are brilliant sleepers.
