Stock bottom end will suffice, uprate the headgasket and headbolts and thats good enough for 10-12 psi
For turbo, use the biggest you can afford, T3 is too small but makes a very torquey car, T34/35 is pretty decent for sub 300 HP and great midrange, if you want the big bang delivery then its gotta be a Holset or GT37 in big trim.
or supercharge it....

As previuosly stated the standard bottom end will take 10-12psi all day long !!
a diesel crank will increase stroke and 2.7 lower comp can be achieved for turbocharging/ supercharging.
When Tuboing a 325i your main factor will be cost.
it all depnds what you have to begin with.
Your best bet is to speak to Ant he is the guru on F/I on e30's
BUT remeber "WHATS YOUR BUDGET"
as he has some very good superchager kits available.
if you do need to ring him the number is 01959534718.
I know this subject very well
i own a 2.7 low comp turbo running Vems management, Holset Hx35w running 1.6 bar and its fast but no cheap
could be for sale if the right offer comes along.
Regards
Ben
