Hi dave how thing with you ?

Ant has done a cracking job Yes it is running MS so you can plug in, i dont know about limiter you would if to ask Ant .
Ant Said you got to stick something up the ass end to put it on RR, wide band i think

How is your M50 baby up and running again?
All good m8 thanks. busy!! which kinda keeps me out of mischief winkeye
i was just curious as to what management it was on. there's no need to plug it in m8.
Again with the limiter. is it any higher?

I started my car on monday for the first time since it's re shell. it had no manifolds on so fired into life with 6 blueflames and everything!! i took it to phoenix yesterday to have a manifold developed for 2 weeks then i'll be finished for run to the sun. i'm kinda lost without it now so have dragged that s50 from under my bench and am currently abusing my 316auto with it! come over if not busy 2mo. be good to see yours with a turbo and a hardtop. it'll be an brakes & a lsd next!.
developments hey. u gotta love em :D

This setup will run 12 psi easy into the B18 , currently @ 6.5 to give 100% cylinder fill and 100% VE

more boost will give more HP up top, but less TQ down the bottom end.

May I have a copy of the plots Chris Please ?

Tell me about it Ant,

Im still only on 210bhp and 170lbft at the fly (175bhp at the wheels) and all my mates in and around cambs with FI are well past the 300bhp mark and they have spent far less £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£$$$$ getting there!

Its not that NA is not flexible its expensive. But the rewards are far more than with FI.

No need for that Malc, im just being realistic your engine spec is less and you aim to get about 15% more power?

I think every engineer around the world would like to know the formula for this, you just might be on the verge of a break through?

I know its slighty off topic but how much do you reckon an M42 would give at around the same boost, or would it just go bang. Im intrigued to know a power estimate of what I'll have by the end of my modifications, plus people are asking me how much power do I think I'll have, when they realise I'm not entirely sure it only gives them more reason to say It wont work... :(

I dont think I'll have the expertise that has gone into this project though :o:

Lovely install, and the fact its on a cab makes it that bit cooler

M42 would show slightly higher gains per psi of boost, purely because it flows more air and is therefore more efficient.

theres one Turbo M42 that i know of in the UK, he's a member on here too.

I'm hoping to do one of my conversions on an M42 in the coming months, be a PITA though as an R+D evercise the costs are to be carried by A-Tech

222 HP roughly Andy

260 or so @ the crank is about right, 1 bar in theory should double the claimed N/A output of any given engine.

Very not bad :thumb:

true, anything more that 400hp in a RWD street car is usless. but 500bhp always sounds good !!

a decent turbo with usable power delivary is the key to have a fast turbo'd street car. the scandanavians use big turbos, but they are only good fot high RMP 1/4 abuse and are not drivable

i know how much trouble i have with traction and i only have 282bhp over 400 would be mad. 4wd would be a nessesity for that sort of power i think. i got a rough price for 4wd converting my e30 using cossie running gear and the starting price was from around £2500. one day ..... winkeye

never had trouble putting down 265bhp before, but 3rd gear wheel spin at 90mph in the rain was scary.
