IIRC in through the bottom and out through the side.

in through the bottom lifts up diafram against sring pushing it closed in top chamber and out through the side.

I'm gonna vote for it being the other way round, much like the standard FPRs are where the fuel bears against a much larger area of the valve than it would if it were trying to get through the bottom.

So in through the side and out through the bottom (I reckon)

I'm 50/50 now, looks like Alex may be correct, nothing new there then

No i stay with my 1st option ,
my thinking is if its like u say the pressure gauge would be measureing dead end pressure of pump ,
not the regulated pressure of the outlet , as u can see the drilling for the press g is in line withe the horizotal pipe
but its only a 50/50 problem try it and see

the easiset way to find out is hook it up and look at the pressure gauge with the car cranked. if u have it backwards then the fpr will peg out at the fuel pumps max pressure. if this is the case turn it around and ur set. i had this same problem on my turbo vw.

Bottom is indeed the return to tank

I'm sure there are arrows marking the flow cast into the body ?

still a few issues to resolve with these TBs, but it shouldn't be too long now

thanks to everyone for their input. I considered just connecting it and seeing what happened but thought i might damage it by putting the feed in at the wrong end.
