anything to know about the alpina 2.5 lump?

just wondering is there anything i should know about a 2.5 lump or if there is anything worth doing wile the engine is out on the floor? i will start a project thread when i get the car and engine

im sure i will got a head gasket to do on it i know that and i was thinking mabie changing the rings while im there and giving it all a good cleanout...
