You sure its a Skyline motor?
Its probably the photo but it doesnt look big enough, looks like a 4pot. 8O Could be the size of turbos making the 6pot look small i guess :?

And is that a Supercharger straped to the side of it as well??

looks like a 4 pot to me too, doesn't look long enough to be a 6'pot. Yeah, that certainly looks like a supercharger too! but I can't see where the thing is linked to the induction system, I can see where it takes air from the intercooler but where is it feeding it into the engine, unless you just can't see the inlet manifold?

I would of said the opposite. The charger is feeding into the cooler along with the turbos. Its the chargers intake I cant see.

But youre right, it definitely doesnt look long enough for a 6pot.

Yeah the charger is feeding into the intercooler with the turbos, there must be 3 air filters on that, or some complicated way of getting 1 air filter to filtrate for the 2 turbos and one supercharger! Awesome, and thats without mentioning the size of that intercooler!

looks definately like a 4 pot to me. maybe it's for use in a corolla AE86 drift wagon? there's also a lot of MK1/2 escorts running toyota lumps in oz.

It's DEFINTELY an RB26 6 pot 2.6 - i have one in my car!! (Minus the Supercharger and with smaller turbos unfortunately!!)

The 3S-GTE is much smaller and has a flatter cam cover and no 'vanos' unit on the exhaust cam!!

If you look really closely it says 'GTR' on the top too!!!

still wrong, the front mount intercooler is because they are a very popular mill to swap into the corollas, by the way, its not vanos, its vvti

Is this a wind up??

This is an RB26:

this is a 3S-GTE:

As you can see they look very different..... And the compound charged engine above looks like one, and not the other.

I know it's not VANOS - thats what the BMW version of the same thing is called so i thought since i'm on a BMW forum....

Also, since it's NOT a 3S-GTE, it's NOT VVTi either!!

It's funny being told you're wrong when you own BOTH!!!!

I'll go outside and take a pic of an RB26 right now if for some reason you can't see from these pics what it is!!

Agreed its an Rb26 engine

theres no room on the 4 cyl mill to fit 2 turbos let alone an SC too
