Eibach do them for about £250 IIRC, and Kmac I think.

Are you gunna try and sort the camber on your car so you can keep the 328i struts?

Cool. Just thought you might be looking at it as an option.

Im going to speak to Dave at Fritz about the possibilities - Ive seen some cars in Germany with the non-M struts, so there must be some way around it. It just depends which is cheaper/more practical.

working on these at the moment. One prototype is already running for a while and similar design is in my car for 2 years+ with plenty of track day miles and Nuerburgring miles

note how far strut centre is on negative camber
Image

-- price will be less than any other comparable mount.
-- MORE negative camber than any other comparable mount (with coil over springs only)
-- correct HEIGHT as a 1:1 replacment for the BMW rubber mount
-- can be set back to stock camber WITHOUT laser alignment
-- No rubber for direct steering feel
-- and NO they are not going to clonk after a while like onter solid mounts

sorry can't post more pictures, want to keep a lid on it till I can supply. I have spend a fair amout of time to get that far and don't want to see a "groupbuy" somewhere else....

How far can a standard strut be moved over?

not even to 3 degrees total camber before the spring hits the turret inside. I make some adjustable rubber mounts as well and they measured 2.6 deg on my car but others have reported 3 deg with these.

From my calculations/guess work I think that I can achieve 4 deg with the solid mount on coilovers.

that's a picture of my adjustable rubber mount with stock suspension. Note where the strut centre is. Maybe a little bit more is possible but the spring may rub on full lock etc.
Basically they offer the same (or a little bit more) negative camber as the BMW "crash" mounts but they are adjustable and can be set back to stock after a track day without alignment gear.
Saves a lot of tyre in the long run and you can have negative camber on track. Takes 5 mins to adjust (while changing your tyres to track rubber)

quite an easy solution and very cost effective. (cheaper than BMW crash mounts). If there is enough demand I might do another run. Was focussing on the solid mount lately and didn't spend much time on "old" designs winkeye

what are your "camber adjustment plates" in your sig? Front or rear?

Hi,

I had a question about your top mounts. I have just had my car lazer aligned and the front camber is -2.08 and -1.96 respectiverly and was wondering if your top mounts will allow me to go back to stock. Is it bad for me to run this much camber on the road?

Cheers

ALL the mounts I am offering are to ADD more camber. I have been asked for a version to reduce camber, but there was not a lot of demand, so I never made one.
Top of my head I would say it's not too much trouble for me to modify a mount to have positive camber adjustment. But without measuring it properly up I won't commit.

You can buy the BMW "crash mounts" to adjust camber in positive. But they will only get 0.5 deg or a little bit more off. How much is your car lowered?

Its lowered 35mm all round. But i am not sure if it may have some accident damage as well since my sparco strut brace will not fit! I got the chassis measurements off 300.de and the lower rails are the correct distance apart, its just the centre of the top mounts are 10mm closer then the spec. However setback was only 1mm so im not sure if its just bad manufacture....

But if i could use your negative only version i could set them both to -2.1 but is this too much for the road? Or will i be shredding tyres!

To be honest, I wouldn't bother with 0.1 deg difference!

Are you running coil overs or stock type springs?

Will take at least another 4 weeks I am afraid.

Uwe are these for coil overs just for the spring clearence or are they coil over specific for a different reason?

What i realy mean is could you run them on standard springs if you checked for clearence on the springs with less degrees of camber? say untill i/some one upgraded to coil overs?

Just thinking it could be a bigger market for you.... :D

Standardish, ebiachs, but there are the same size (width wise that is). I am looking to upgrade to coilovers soon anyway.

Let me know when there good to go.

Also, how much, any idea yet?

They are an direct 1:1 replacement for the OEM rubber mount.
regardless of suspension used. The OEM type spring will only limit the amount of negative camber you can adjust as the spring hits the sheet metal. So it's a universal mount and can be used for all type of suspension.

working on it dude. Just found out that there is an option to have them BLACK instead of silver zinc. But more £££. Have to work out a final price and see if it's worth.

What would you prefer? Silver zinc (as pictured), gold zinc or black zinc (looks like sprayed satin black)

thank you for your comment.
I am working hard to stay below the £200 +shipping mark for the set. Don't know how much below yet. Depends on colour as well. The black is 3 times as much as the silver/gold but I just like the look of it :-)

That sounds like a very fair price imo. I presume that we would be able to choose our own colours? I wouldnt be able to afford the black ones (the joys of being an apprentice :roll)

unfortunately no choice in colour once they are done. They will be all in one colour. I prefer silver over gold.

I've seen and been in the prototype car and they're very good. I was expecting a harsh ride, but they're fantastic. I have Uwe's other design of camber adjuster plates that use the BMW rubber top mounts installed on my car and I was very impressed when installing them. I have no doubt they'll be perfect in service..

thanks for your kind words Jai. Both mount types are a result of my own needs. First the quick adjustable rubber version I wanted when my car was more road than track (to avoid tyre wear in daily driving) and now the solid mount for max negative camber and precise steering feel.
I have a solid mount on my car running for 2 years+ now and it tourned out that it is very "streetable" with no side effects.
I doubt people would spot the difference when driving a car with the solid version in a blind folded test (in terms of harshness).
All the parts I offer are tested both street and track , I am not like many other sellers who design something and then make and sell 20 straight away to recover costs. NONE of the parts I ever made/sold were returned to me.
I design my stuff pure for functionality and low price, so no fancy engravings or logos or bright annodised colours, sorry
