my wrecker

picked this up on the cheap and am in the process of stripping it ready to paint. its the 5th e30 2 door ive had and its probably the least rusty one ive had. the two late e30 sports i had were riddled in rust under the tech2 kit! it hides sooooooo many nastys!

anyways this is sadly only a 320i, all the other e30's ive had have been 325i's.

plans for this one are repaint, fit some 16x9 borbets A's and change the engine for something more pokey.

im yet to reattach any trim, crome will be going back on as i think it will look good with the satin black and the dish on the rims. if it looks tosh il have to go the home made shadow line route

Looking smooth. What did you use to spray with?

Deleted side repeators or replacement wings without holes?

There was an E36 in Total BMW this month with LED indicators in the side trim instead and the absence of the side repeater gives cleaner lines.

I'm not 100% sure but do the side repeaters in the wings have to be there. There must be a way to avoid having them.

More pics please :D

Legally, any car reg'd after August 1985 has to have side repeaters fitted.

yep a side repeater will be fitted. i got the genuine replacement wing off a mate who for some reason had smoothed off the hole where the repeater sits. il just drill it back and out refit.

Well, if it were me, as I'm dying to try this mod, would be to integrate a side repeater into the trim on the front wing just to give it cleaner lines.

Car looks fine in that colour. Is the spraying method a secret? Looks bloody good for rattle cans if that's what you used!

lol no was done using a 2HP 25ltr compressor, gravity fed gun and satin black 2k paint. although looks no different to what ive seen people achieve with spray cans, just went on a bit thicker i expect

trim and bumpers back on and wheel centre caps fitted! its amazing how a set of wheels can transform a car. just got the bootlid left to paint and then i can set about stripping out the interior and hopefully getting a rear roll cage when funds allow!

my german style pressed metal number plates should be arriving tomorrow with any luck

im not sure what the original wheels were. they are 15" and wearing 205/55/15 rubber thats about as much as i know. Im selling them now, 3 of the tyres are like brand new so im sure someone will buy them just for the tyres
