did it need arch work for those wheels to fit?

yeap 728i sport, no arch work, i was lucky as the car came with Alpina shocks and springs from factory, so the rims fitted straight on..

need to get the car detailed, anyone know of a good detailing company around london?

I love the look of E38s... Just can't help thinking there's a lot to go wrong, & it isn't stuff you'll be able to fix yourself!

whats up goldy! it does cost a lot if you go to someone who specializes in that stuff!

have to clay barred it? then used some meguires wax and polish??
that should clean up a lot of the swirls!

Very very very nice. I'd love a big 7 series especially a black 750iL  but I'd be worried about the running and servicing costs. I wonder if you can get a bodykit for one of these.

Maybe Rieger did one of their wide-arch kits?

reiger kits and any other kit look crap on these, the best kit by far is the alpind kit consisting of the front alpina lip..
apart from that there is nothing decent.

there are a few euro styled ones available on ebay but they look terrible!

Alpina is the way forward!

Servicing costs arnt too bad, as for petrol i feel that it is the same as a e30 325i, i used to have one and don't notice much difference..

Around town I get around 21mpg and on the motorway i can hit 40mpg..not bad at all for a big car..

That was kinda what I was thinking... leave it as is FFS - they look great! :)

Khidda singh im looking for £1200 for the set of 5 alpinas i got. Two of the tyres are still good the other two might need replacing in a couple of hundred miles and the spare tyre is perfect on tread as it aint been used. They are in good condition only slight kerbing though on like 3 of them i think not major kerbing like chunks missing. Also have the centre caps with 1 key.

About the bodykit for these cars goldysingh your spot on about alpina styling is the only way for these e38's any other bodykit luks seriously stupid e.g reiger. The only other bodykit would have to be ac schnizter which luks pretty decent aswell.

The alpina kit is the only one i'd put on it, but as has been said, i'd leave it as it is.
