My e30 project

Lets introduce my e30 project,
It started some thing like 2 nonths ago with buying a '87 type 1 320 2doors
He was equiped with some Hartge stuff for a type 2 model and also some other type 2 stuff as bumpers and front fender.
My goal is to get it back in orriginal type 1 shape with only beautyful rims and a 60/40 lowering.
So i got me an extra 320i with engine damage for spare's wich i'm breaking down now while i rebuild the other one.
A few weeks ago i was able to buy a 325i convertible from '89 and thats thus wat i did also winkeye
Detailed pics from the convertible will follow later

It was not a straight bolt on job thought there are some small mods on the rear and front bumber and attachement points.

The Hartge kit wil be removed and maybe the EVOIII spoiler on the trunk also

Start to fix the back rest of the drivers seat from the Cabrio :?
The last ones ho dismanteled it, lost an attachement of the hard part of the back :? aparently he decided to stick it back with some thing like Tec 7 glue.

It was one hell of a job to get it off without damage to the leather or carboard part :?
Any way i managed to get it off and next monday i will try to fix the mechanisme so the back will remain straigt again 8)

I think i will keep them as spare wheels

We made some progres on the 325 today
First of all, i reassembled de drivers seat of the orriginal interior.
Image
Image

Then we started on the soft top swap

Image
Image
Image

To be honest, it's a "piece of cake" to remove the soft top

Image
Image
Image

Here 's the roofless guy winkeye

Image
Image

To adjust the top is quite easy with shims between the attachement points.

Image
Image
Image

And it does looks nice winkeye

Image

I could not see him standing there whitout a roof so i gave him back a shelter :P

Image
Image
Image

So this was the result of the day 8)

Image
Image
Image

Next step to take is to build over the interior and then we can start to think to register the car
