Hi where to start?? I've always loved the shape of the E30's and have wanted one for a while,( a friend of mine had a 325i some years ago and I fell in love with them back then . . the sound they make and the way thay they drive

) I really wanted the M3 but as I didnt quiet have enough reddies so I've settled for the this 325i Sport in Lanch Silver. Well I brought this car from a gentleman in Birmingham in November and I've had a massive smile on my face ever since !!
I've been floating about on the site for a few months and finally plucked up the courage to say hello to everyone
I do not have any pics of the car as I brought her but she had been lowered and had the wheels . . . . thats before I started playing
Since owning the car I have been on a bit of a mission to sort out the little niggly bits on the car such as sorting out the airel, spraying my kidney grills black, fitting a 800K HID kit, fitting hella tinted headlights, pressed GB Number plates and smoking out the indicators on the side and front of the car "dont worry i'm not going to putting any nasty lexus lights on the car . . . "I hear a sigh of relief"

. . I Have a
few other ideas in mind here is my things to do and little Wish list:
Clean the engine bay
purchase and fit a M Tech 2 steering wheel
Cleaning and dying the lether in the car . . possibly to black??
possibly a new exhaust system inc manifold?? and possibly a K&N pannel filter
change the dash due to a crack on the dash
new set of gaitors for the gear and handbreak leavers
I've popped a few pics on for everyone to enjoy . . . any comments are welcome

Gorgeous! Stunning.. really. Makes me really miss my Lachs 325iS, really
My only saving grace is that being too young to have two cars (without having one a cheap cheap daily driver lol) I sold my Lachs to buy my current garage occupier.... my E30 M3.

Thanks for the nice comments guys!!
bss325i - the colour of the interior is Grey leather . . showing some signs of ware on the drives side and back seats

. I've never really tried to dye any leather before and am very much a novice at this game.
Could it be done or am I better off getting a set of black leather seats rether then dying my current ones??
Thanks

Sorry but i know nothing about dying leather either. I would have been interested in a swap if it were a mint beige or red leather interior.

hi mate lovely looking car!
Where did you get the smoked hella's from and where did you get the hid kit from?
Any idea how much the car has been dropped?

Thanks Fuzzy I was considering keeping it Gray but I'm not all sure which way to go with the colour? . . . but I am also in search for a set of heated seats "I belive they are like rocking horse S$%^T to find"
Maz, i'm really not to sure how much the car has been lowered tbh but I have posted a side on pic if any one fancies having a guess??
The HID Kit is a Bosch kit on E-bay around £90 - its apparently a fake kit as I read on a post somewhere on here but I must say that its a very nice piece of kit and was alot easier to install then I'd expected
The Hella's . . I had to search for I managed to find on on E-bay and brought them even before I brought the car

Anyone fancy a Guess as to how much it has been lowered???

i'd guess 60mm on the rear, i think a chrome grill would set the car off

if he is 60 on the rear he shouldn't i'm 60 all round with no probs, except the camber in the rear wheels tyres only wear one half

Thanks for all the great comments guys!!
I have to say I love this colour to . . in my search for a 325I I knew that the car had to be either Red, Silver and Black ( in that order ) but I'm glad I found her and was especially surprised in the condition considering she has had 8 owners!!
dippytrout wrote:if he is 60 on the rear he shouldn't i'm 60 all round with no probs, except the camber in the rear wheels tyres only wear one half

No I have no problems with rubbing at all . . but as dippytrout has mentioned the camber on the rear wheels are a bit of a pain!
I have been thinking about changing the springs to a 40mm, as there are alot of speed bumps around where I live and I dont fancy forking out for tyre's all the time!

Muli thats one nice clean sport....welcome to the zone e30's certainly have a way of putting a smile on one's face
I may be wrong but from what i know dying the grey leathers black will only reveal gray patches when the dye
gradually rubs off esp on areas that get the most wear....i say sell the grey and get a retrim in red nappa or the
e36 silver/grey if you know the one

thanks for the kind words on my car muli, it took some effort to get it how she looks now. if you go to any of the shows this year keep an eye out for it
not sure how many lachs sports are on here but i dont think its an especially rare colour certainly not as rare as granite silver (the only colour i would swap mine for) and what tends to happen when someone says they think their colour is rare is that all sorts of people turn up with them or had one or had a friend who had one etc etc.
at one point i didnt think i would ever get round to fixing mine so i was keeping an eye out for them on ebay and on autotrader and saw them quite regularly but the ones i went to see were doggy as hell so it swung my decision, i did however see one with red leather and it looked good, a nice contrast

Haven't been on here much lately haven't really had an chance . . . been a bit of a busy boy going out to scrap yards, trips to halfords and some baking I've had an idea that might help some of the people who have been asking me about my headlights . . . but all will be revealed
in the meantime I've just managed to sell one of my other cars, for a tidy bit of profit . . . not bad for just buying it giving it a full valet and keeping it for 3 months . . .tbf it was a very clean car. . .well by the time I'd finished with it. what do you recon?? a completely standard and an original 106 S2 Rallye.
I know, I know . . . . It's not a E30 I know but a good little fun car to drive

I dont think I will be dying my seats black then
Shaz I can't think of which colour you mean E36 silver/grey . . . has any one got any pics ??
I quiet like the idea of getting mine re-trimed source the appropriate trim from the local scrappies or fleebay but I can't think of which colour you mean E36 silver/grey . . . has any one got any pics ??
I'm in no rush at the mo so I'm just gonna wait around for a bit I've got a few other things to sort out servicing wise before that get priority before I can start playing with the seats.

Well there's only one way to find out ??? keep an eye out in the photo Gallery
i did however see one with red leather and it looked good, a nice contrast [/quote]
I dunno beardy, I really cant see it in my head . . . its not all that convincing.
Will keep everyone updated for more progress soon
