Houndstooth!!!

So...I am...slowly...converting the interior of my car from tan to black.

A few weeks ago...I replaced the stock sport seats with some Corbeau CR1's. (Thank you David Harrison of http://www.harrisonmotorsports.com !)

Clickable thumbs...

Then...I bought some Houndstooth Door Panels from erik325i over on R3Vlimited. Well...they showed up today and about an hour later...I had this...

The pictures make the Corbeau's look like they have a purple tone. They are actually black. Now I just need a black back seat, rear deck and carpet.

Enjoy!

man I am liking those seats,

my interior is houndstooth, sport, butone seat has a damaged frame...what do those seats run at cost wise and how difficult to fit?

Can you get in the back??

Thanks, Leen!

green-blood, thanks! The seats at Harrison Motorsports were $698(US) for the pair. Brackets were $178(US) for the pair. The driver's side (left side) bracket fit PERFECT!! The passenger side (right side) took some muscle to get it in.

The front mounting points of the stock seat consist of two bolt studs coming out of the floor. The seat bracket goes over these and a nut is threaded down. The Corbeau brackets fit perfectly over these.

The rear mounting points consist of two threaded holes in the floor. Traditionally thread a bolt from the top and through the seat bracket holes and into these threaded holes. Unfortunately, the holes in the bracket were just a little to close to eachother to line up directly over the threaded holes. So...I ran the stock bolts from under the car and bought a matching nut from my local hardware store to thread down over the bolt. Make sense?

There is still plenty of room in the back seat.

Thanks again!

They recline forward. However, they do not tip forward like the stock seats.

Check out http://www.corbeau.com/ for more details on the seats and on the brackets.

***EDIT: I just looked under dealer locater...and there are none listed for the UK. I would ask around at the local race shops there to see if anyone can get them. Who knows...maybe Harrison Motorsports will ship them to you? I know he has shipped seats to Canada. David is a good guy and I am sure he would be happy to answer any questions.

Doh! Sorry! My dad just got back from a week long golf outing in Ireland. He played Lahinch, Ballybunion and a few others.

man, you WILL NOT believe this, I only collected my car last Saturday from Lahinch, where it was getting some engine work sorted out by a good mate.

What a tiny planet we live on.
