An M-tech touring is born(new pics)

I've finally pulled my finger out and got my tech 2 kit sorted - I've only had it a year!

I got fed up of getting messed around by the guy that said he would do it, personally I don't think he wanted to do it, he could have just been honest.
Anyway, I decided to have a go myself, using a friends garage and compressor, I was expecting to c*ck it up as its the first time ive used 2 pack paint and a compressor - see what you think

Here is a before pic

and after

and a random piccy between coats

I'm pleased with the end result as my only experience of bodywork/painting prior to this has involved a rattle can, the finish is much better than I expected.

More pics to follow when m-tech spoiler is fitted and kit/bodywork is wet flatted and buffed - next week hopefully!

looking good  id paint the rear tailgate roof spoiler though. my original touring was red but was written off on the way to the garage for the engine conversion .i ended up with my current white touring as it was all i could find in a hurry. im not a fan of white, id have prefered another red one

Used to have (self tinted) red clusters on a while ago, but eventually decided I didn't like them. I bought a set of clusters from the scrappers and just tinted over the white section of the reverse lights, they look standard at first glance. I think they make the back end seem cleaner

I'm not a painter, I borrowed a friends garage and compressor. I'd be happy to offer (novice) advice if you need it.

Personally, I don't like the MTech2 side-pods but fair play to you - looks like you've done a very good job there. I like the wheels too. Haven't seen one with the tailgate spoiler black before (except on a black car).
The first pictures with the tailgate spoiler on are Meadowhall right? Where were the ones by the lake taken please?

I'm usually a tech 1 man but that looks the nuts! Paintwork is looking quality too, looks quite a dark shade in the pics, like the imola red you see on e46 m3's. I'm taking it thats the original colour though?

Yeah, coach park at meadowhell (lol). Lake shots are Rother Valley country park - fantastic BBQ venue in the summer, always loads of talent to ogle winkeye

Cheers.
The paint is the original "zinnoberrot", it seems a deeper hue after a good wash, I think I've washed it more this last month, than over the last year!
