Yeah, the pods took about 30-40 hours from start to finish (including design). The seats aren't hard to fit. Just drop in, drill, and bolt down.

Yeah, the seats are Very supportive. I was able to pick them up for $100 USD from a friend.

Hi Ken,
The car looks mint! I'm going to be 'trying' to drop some e46 seats into my e30 in the next couple of weeks...
I can imagine the fronts weren't too bad, but I'm amazed that your back seat dropped in ok. Was it really that easy? Of course the e46 might be a different story, but here's hoping...

You'll want to do some measuring first. If the e36 seats were even 1cm wider, the probably wouldn't have fit.
The e36 rear seat is the same width as the e30 one. However, the rear seat I have is a fold-down one ( 4 pieces). It's just screwed in from the rear of the trunk into the back of the seats so they don't fly forward.

Thanks for the prompt response.
I've also got a split seat (from a compact), so I will be heading down the same route... I was expecting I would have to bolt/screw the backs to the trunk. Like you say, it all depends on the width. Yours looks like it fits quite snug, lets hope the e46 is the same.
Fingers crossed

Sweet car!
Does it have the 'USA-style' driving lights in the front indicators? I'm thinking about converting my front indicators but I'm not sure if the US cars had this... Thx!

Drilled right through the floor and used a large bolt, locking washer, and nut to hold them down.

Yes, when the headlights (or parking lights) are turned on, the turn signals light up. They just blink when I signal.
