It was only a four-pot but I was only 18 and it was all I could afford to insure!!

It was a standard M40 engine apart from a K&N air filter and the stainless exhaust (not sure what make). Interior was cloth, wheels MIM. The suspension was lowered but I'm not sure what springs it was on.

The colour was the best thing about it, (metallic sky blue!) but it always drove like a dream...

I drive a 325i Sport now, which I'll have pics of as soon as I've replaced the shameful Momo wheels with BBS's!!

Seen a 4dr in that colour at the lakeside meet, colour really stands out from the crowd! was it standard?

Yeah it was a standard colour, gleitscheblau metallic or something. The colour-coded doorhandles were a nice touch. I've only ever seen one other like it!

And yes *gets lump in throat* I did prang it Jhonno... There wasn't a lot worth salvaging either, even one of the wheels was totally f*cked!

Thanks badnan!

I had a lucky escape too daz: skidded on some diesel on a dual carriageway, managed to steer out of the way of traffic in the other lane but went head on into a big lamppost. Didn't even get a scratch thanks to the built-like-a-tank BMW!

I have the same colour on a 325i convertible with mtec body kit, although it's a new project and needs some work it already gets plenty of attention. 8)

Nice! What colour hood have you got? I reckon it'd look real nice with a dark blue hood... And stick some beige leathers in it!!

Yes it has a dark blue hood with navy leather interior, again it needs some TLC and I have matching rear head rests to be fitted. Thinking of putting on a mtec rear spoiler but can't decide between the lip spoiler or the bigger one or just leaving as it. I have the original invoice and the car seems to be as original so I should probably leave alone. 8)

Yeah, it depends. I'm one for All Original myself, but there's no harm in some subtle modifications. I love the full M-Tech 2 kit so I always advocate it. If yours has got a kit on, you should get a spoiler to match I guess (Tech 1 or Tech2)
