Looks nice mate, thats a good price for an IS.Any bits that need doing or is it all pretty solid? What mods you got planned for it? White motors can look awesome with a few little touches!!

Nothing to be concerned about needs doing. Theres some minor cosmetic chips and dings, and it has 144k on the clock (with history).
Runs really well, and is quite a laugh to drive.
I only bought it as a stop gap run around as I will be taking redundancy from work soon so wont be able to afford anything too juicy for a while. Quite fancy getting an E30 M3 or very tidy 325 sport next.
It's 100% standard at the mo and I plan to keep it that way for the time I have it. Keep an eye out for it in a few months when I move on to something bigger engined.

Bargain mate!
You sound in a similar position to me.
Mind you when I can afford it I cant decide if I should keep the iS as daily driver and buy a tatty m3 as track toy, or sell up and spend a bit more on a nice m3. Mind you if I could afford it I can always turn the 318iS into a track toy and buy a nice m3

On the subject of mods. Will a 325 sport lsd bolt straight onto an 'is???

Think it does go on, but the ratios will be wrong, not 100% though!
My iS is shit for drifting to, just snaps(bring back the snow!!!!)

Thats always the trouble with an open dif.
Not an E30, but I've got one of these in the garage I'm building for tarmac rallying:
Would be nice to have an LSD to practice ...... on private roads only obviously

No you want a 4.10 ideally, but good luck finding one!
A 3.91 off a sport would be ok and not affect acceleration too much, also if you drop eg from 205/55/15 to 205/50/15 tyres then it will pretty much cancel this out

(presuming 205/55/15 tyres)
If you can reach 6674rpm then a 3.91 will let you hit 60mph
6367rpm for a 3.73
6213rpm for a 3.64

Oh yeh thats the one, ive seen the 4:10 mentioned, but had 3:64 floating about in my head.
So will it not be much differnt to a 3:64 on an IS? or is their quite a big jump in terms of acceleration etc

Would fitting 195/50 15's lower the gearing and improve acceleration, all be it at the cost of motorway cruising?

I get bored far too easily. Gonna be selling the 318is soon as I've found a nice 325 sport for sensible money.
