But all I can think of is the Milky Way advert from years ago

"The red car and blue car had a race.....
Compare and contrast?

beautiful colours on both
only thing id say with the e46 is upgrade to the 19inch wheel option as they look to small

Iâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢m on the fence at the mo, I have found a nice dry garage to keep her in for now so I am ok for the winter.
I have only put a few hundred miles on the E46 in a couple of months and probably less than 200 on the E30 it just seems silly (greedy) to keep them bothâ┚¬Ã‚¦
I still have an advert on Pistonheads, so if someone comes along then so be it.
If not I will just have to keep her, LOLâ┚¬Ã‚¦Ãƒ¢Ã¢”š¬Ã‚¦

I donâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢t like the 19inch wheels, except the CSL ones, and they are going for silly money.. Plus you can get Toyo888 semi slicks for the 18s muhahahahâ┚¬Ã‚¦

The E46 has a lot more power and is very good fun but you feel a little bit detached from it all. I think for me, a M3 CSL would be a better option.
But if you had to use it every day the E46 is a VERY good car best of best worlds.
The E30 is still my favourite in the looks department and a lot more exclusive, and for a 16 year old, still out performs (with a little help from me) far newer cars. The antilock brakes come in a bit to soon for my liking, and she could do with a bit more bhp/torque.
Two cars with the same badge but they really are chalk and cheese.
Still undecided to which is my favourite though.
Cheers for the comments guys..

Cool. Sounds about right. E46 M3's are cool and the CSL is ace!!
Both of em are very nice motors and id jump at the chance to own one.

definately
the red car and the blue car had a race
all that red could do was stuff his face
he eats everything he sees
from trucks to prickly trees
but smart old blue he took the milky way
he's looking for a chocolate treat
fluffy and light
cos he knows it won't spoil his app-e-tite
mm mm MMMM!
oh no! the bridge has gone,
poor old red just can't carry on
but smart old blue, he took the milky way

I have to say, I'd stop to look at the e30 m3, but i'd walk past the e46
IMo there are too many of them about now-no longer have the appeal or mystique

To be honest its partly the reason I brought the 46, I used to have a Mitsubishi EVO VIII which drew all the wrong type of attention, its nice to be able to go out in a car that doesnâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢t stick out but is still great to drive.
The E30 does get more attention, but not from 12 year old kids and Saxo driversâ┚¬Ã‚¦
