Opinions, which looks better?

As some of you know I have the crystal clear lights on the back, but obtained a set of MHW smoked lights as I've seen them on E30's think they look cool. So what looks better, the jewels or the MH's? Or do I get my original rear lights, tint the orange lense to red and have that instead?

Here's with the jewels:

And pic with MH:

Also pic below I got my rear shoe box lid done, decided not to bother faffing around with leather so got it stripped and sprayed with the body colour instead.

All reds are desperately needed mate. Sorry but the smoked ones look too dark for the car and the jewel look wrong on all e30's imho.

Option 3 Standard with the original red, to match your colour.

MHWs don't work with that colour.

If you're not going for all-reds, the top set are the way to go. Most people must be almost used to them now

i think option 3 would be the best for your colour car. i have the jewels on mine but my car is black i think they suit black better than red. the mh are the nicer ones but then again they dont suit red cars i but thats my opinion. good luck on deciding :)

All reds on a red car looks the nuts!! MHW's look good on a dark car, all reds on a red, or light car, and crystals look good on an open flame (yeah, I used to have them too  )

The crystal just look wierd on the e30, Personally i'd have originals and spray the orange bits red. Nice interior by the way.

Hi Gouki

It's got to be all reds on a red car.

I think smoked lights look good on darker cars...I've got a set of MHW rears as well and have not put them on yet.

See you at the next Ace meet.

i ddint do it myself and will say it isnt a pro job, i got my mate to do it but its passable, paint hasnt pealed off and is much better than the ripped leather bit i had on there as it was peeling and cracking etc. My mate simply just cut it all off, sand it down to remove the glue and just a straight spray job.

Seems all reds is the consensus so if I do that, should I as well as spray the indicator light red, spray the reverse light red as well or leave it clear?

gotta leave the reverse light clear fella, or have some spare clusters for MOT time

if you can, see if you can spray the clusters the same colour as your chariot, that's what I meant with my reply anyway, reckon it will suit the custom look of your ride 8)

so mask off everything apart from reverse light, then when done, a couple of coats of clear laquer and bish-bosh, job's a good'un

what sort of spray would I need to colour code with car though, only i was looking at the zone article and they recommend the red tint spray? Shame about the reverse light though!

Gouki,

To give you an idea.... This is mine. To do the colour match it is a question of the number of layers of spray you use....I just did mine by eye and everyone who has seen them says they look good (i.e. not like a home spray job!!)
