looking good Iain, i would say 220+ considering the last power run you had done, before you had new (not knackered) ht leads, and manifold.

assuming you are using the same rolling road that is

The bodywork has been quite extensive, it'd had a nearside quarter at some point in it's past that hadn't been fitted very well.

We needed to replace part of the rear panel above the nearside tail light as it had rusted through.
The rear panel had rusted in the usual place by the towing eye so that part was replaced, a new nearside sill was fitted and the lower corner of the nearside quarter has been replaced.

All the above rusty bits were cut out and new parts welded in rather than bodged up by welding panels over the top or filling. The rest of the crusty bits were spot-blasted by myself for a thorough de-rusting. Beardymat was responsible for all the top notch bodywork, he's a legend.

She's also got new wings and will be getting a full respray very soon.

I'll be installing the Megasquirt in November as well so she'll be all finished winkeye

I'm installing the Megasquirt so it can be easily and quickly reverted back to the moronic system in case of probems.

I'll be doing a dyno run when it's running satisfactorily, I may even do a back to back Motronic/Megasquirt run to see what difference it really makes.

Cheers,

Iain T

working on the fact that his old engine that used the eta head but modified was getting 209 bhp this was before the btb was fitted too

as i said above i reckon this car will easily get 220+ but id say 230+ on a good day

the amount of thort and work thats gone into this car is almost unbelievable
especialy as she looks so standard
there will be some surprises in store with this car im sure winkeye

why ya think im getting Iain to build my 2.7 :D
will be same spec as above minus the ms

it sould mate over 200, but it may well need setting up and a re map to get the best from it. have you considered using other management system such as emerald, its not to bad in price and the results are very impresive.

No news yet buddy, I have an AFR gauge in the car at the mo and the moronic fuelling is miles out so I'll wait until I'm happy with the megasquirt tuning before I let her loose on the dyno.

Thanks alot Frank, fingers crossed 8O
