HI.

Im New here, so please dont bash :D

Just bought a J Reg 325i Cab with 52K miles on the clock from ebay, The car was stolen recovered. Unfortunatley the interior along with various other bits were missing. end up paying £600 for the car.

So i did a bit of searching for some leather seats. first place i looked was Ebay. and came across these. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... otohosting

The seats looked very clean so i bid for them, everything was looking good up until the last minute, where i was outbid by £20!!! i was furious. The very next day i got a second chance offer from the seller saying, the winner couldnt make the payment so could take them if i was still interested. I said YES! straight away. He also mentioned that he had another set in beige. Personally i prefered the beige so told him ill go for them.

Couple of days later i made a the trip to bournmouth. picked up the interior including the door cards along with a brand new manual cab roof, hood cover, carpet. rear light , electric window motors and verious other bits and pieces for £850 I new a got an absolute bargain! so i got out of there as quick as i could

The seats have now been cleaned with auto glym leather cleaner and conditioner. I will post some new updated pics up soon.

By the way here is my old car. Which will be for sale soon.

Looking forward to any advice and comments. :D

dazleeds has a full mtec2 kit, but it is a saloon one, so you have to stretch the side skirts down a little, but it is original tech 2, in lachs silver, no damage but will need a spray.

Assuming he hasn't sold it!

Im very interested in the Tech 2 kit, If the joker doesnt buy it. How much do you want for it?

The black one is on a 325i D plate with 100k plus miles, full M-Tech 2 kit. The interior is in bad condition. So it will need a retrim.
The guy i bought it from just had resprayed in Diamond Black.
17" Alpinas (replicas)
Brand new EBC brake discs and Green stuff pads.
Mechanically its excellent.

The Interior lets the car down, Other than that its a Great car.
Ill take more pictures of the black one on sunday and post them up.

Talk about bringing a post back from the dead  Since i bought the car, back in july. I havent really got round to doing anything major. but i do come on here almost daily. At present im gathering bits and pieces together, and hopefully some day ill get off my lazy arse and put them on.

I did manage to get my self another set of seats, this time in Black. however i noticed a 4 pin plug underneath the front seats. Anyone know what this is? I haven`t got a clue.

Here are the seats

Heated seats I would guess.

Great project by the way!! Keep going, although not great weather now unless you have a garage.

A J reg would be a car manufactered in 1990? Just curious as it has plastic bumpers and yet still has early tails. We did not get this style. When we finally got plastic bumpers for our verts was 91 and they had large taillights finally.

I own a late 92.

Mine before paint.

My 325i Cab Project (Updated 3/6/2008)

After a year or more  of being parked up, I am now ready to restart and hopefully finish my little project.

Managed to find a tech 2 kit for it. and sent it to the body shop for painting. I was supprised as to how clean the body was. Hardly any rust except the battery tray, which was totaly shagged, So had to replace that. other than that im very pleased with the car.

Here are some updated pictures. Im still deciding on what colour i should get it painted. Im stuck between Calypso Red and Black. Maybe you guys can help me out.

I picked up the battery tray section you see in the picture from the scrappers. The rust goes all the way back to the bulkhead, so he's going to strip out what he needs and weld it on. No way would i cut out a chunk like that out of my car.

To Motorsport325i Im from Leyton. The car should be done in the next few weeks. I just hope the weather gets better.

Most of the people i asked told me to go with calypso red too. Looks like i might have to go with that since i already had a black one. Thanks for comments.
