i reckon you were screwed! i'd never pay such good money for such a rotter!!!!
seriously though, it looks sweeeeeeeet! some of those HUGE alpinas i've seen on the 7 series would finish it off a treat!
how's it been behaving, other than the fuel tank issues?

Yup... same location. Sat here at work getting stuff done in peace and quiet with NO-ONE else here... car-park empty and no reception staff in, so thought I'd get the camera out while the sun was shining...
Had a problem with the intake cam sensor and a blocked one-way breather valve... running sweet now. Back enjoying her again!

Mate that is awesome!
At 900 it has to be the steal of the century. Was there a reason it was so cheap (problems etc)

Buster... tank fixed now, thanks. Famous for 5 minutes!
Plans are for larger rims (seen 18's with new tyres go for £500-600 - cheaper than a set of replacement tyres for the 16's!!!!) a set of H&R springs and new paint. All this when the business booms... not long now (I hope!)
I managed to get it from my Sister's friend's father who was moving it on as he had no space at home after he bought his new Porsche Turbo, so the E28's had to go!
It's got electric memory leather, air, cruise, electric rear blind along with rear side blinds and an awesome stereo system with DSP (Digital Sound Processor - it makes the music the stereo kicks out outstanding! - all digitally controlled and customizable)
Problems so far... leaking fuel tank (now a famous problem) and poor running which ended up being the inlet cam sensor and a blocked one-way breather valve.
Everytime I drive it I become instantly relaxed and all the problems of the World seems to dissolve (which at the moment is a brilliant feeling) - Not sure whether I should keep this, or move onto a 740i later on... It drives really nicely, but there's the always that nagging feeling that I've only got the small engine when I could have a nice V8 instead!
Plans still include another E30 though... so don't worry!

looking good there giles- certainly belies its pricetag somewhat. Hope it gives you plenty of comfort and no hassle now!

Aah was daydreaming about one of those yesterday.
Would be so cool to get a V12 one, fit a manual 'box, strip some of the weight out and then fit the obligatory twin turbo setup.
Fast, and room for all yer mates (assuming you've only got 3)
