My boot was looking a bit of a mess due to excessive bass, so i took the car to my trimmers a couple of weeks ago and picked it up on Saturday. Here's the result  I might lift the install and install it into the Motorsport when it's done as i have the latest Fusion ICE and i can get my mate to do something special with it in the Rieger winkeye

Yes for all you eagle eyed lot out there, i know my struts have gone and i need new ones's :D

:D I dont like taking the car anywhere unless it's near perfect and at the moment it's far from it. I need another passenger side seat belt, my passenger seat need one bolt welding to keep the seat solid and i'm have a Concept 650 with pager fitted, so the glove box and a couple of other bits are off. Hardly showwiining combination :D

You can do it yourself mate. You can buy the stuff from Halfords. You just heat it up with a hair dryer and then slap it on the walls of your boot and behind any pane that is likely to rattle

What kind of box you running, i had a L7 running off a Directed 1100d in my old A4, no amount of sound deadning (or expanding foam) seemed to do the trick of reducing the rattles

I had all my boot, plus behind the doors and stuff done. Just depends on how quiet you want it. Like i said earlier though, it wont be completly eleminated, but it will be a lot better

Booty,

what are the subs actually like in the cab anyway, do you get alot of extra bass in the car from them?

I've been considering it, but i always thought the effect they'd have would be minimal? After all the boot is completely contained? I've bene thinking about some RE subs for ages

Are yours just for show?

danny,my setup-

pioneer mp3 headunit(excellent sound)
JL audio Components(4 tweeters and 4 midrange)
2 x Directed D2400 amps-2400 watts each at 1 ohm!
2 x 15" Kicker L7 (2000 watts each 1 ohm)subs in my own built box(just about went in to boot lol!)

and some FAT wiring!

all i need now to finish it off is a power cap,and a tv headunit, but sounds crystal clear.sit in the car for more than 5 mins with high volume and you will come out with a headache, lol.

will post pics up tommorow!

I've gone for quality rather than quantity in my install cause i dont believe in all bass and no mids or twitters, so my bass isn't Earth shattering, but it still thumps and yes the sound deadning is worth it to me. I also get Fusion stuff cheap, although Kicker and a few others wanted to sponsor the car too

true ben but my system has some sound quality,i havent just gone for bass, the jl audio component set is brilliant, crystal clear.

Ive noticed most peoples cars who have a system installed is that when they drive past all you can hear is bass, but my one when i drive past you can hear both.

That's what it's all about mate. It's quiet difficult to build a good system in a cab, but i'm happy with mine. The guy who's fitting my alarm reckons he can get Audiobarn to sposor my car, but it means rebuilding the whole ICE gain and i realy canot be bothered to do it :D

Sounds alot like my old set up in the A4, i was running a pioneer 8400mp, a directed 1100d, a directed 200 an L7 in a "street bass" box. Also some Kenwood Comps running actively off the directed 200.

It was loud, but more because of the frequncey it was tuned at...

I've just done a "temp fix" at the moment in the cab, some 13cm JBl speakers all round :?

I'm thinking about putting 17cm comps in the front, again running actively and a pair of RE SE12s off another directed 1100d winkeye
