With my 325i on sale, I noticed a low mileage 318i on sale that I really felt like getting as I don't like not having an E30!. A trip down to Tonbridge and the car was purchased. Needless to say, my wife wasn't happy
1990 318i - Dolphin Grey
54k
Factory air con (needs work

)
ABS
All electric windows
No sunroof! I finally found a non sunroof car!
No rust at all
Has to be quietest E30 I've ever owned! Once it is idling, you can barely tell it's on.
Plans are colour coded mirrors, BBS 15 wheels, spoiler and front fog lights.

Hi Cloggy Saint
The 325i doesn't see many miles and I have to commute to the station to get the train into London as well as driving for work sometimes. Insuring the 325i is also a lot due to past accidents, much more reasonable on the 318i. If I don't get enough for the 325i I may still keep it, I'm sure my dad will take it off me.
Thanks

Lovely looking untouched car - great colour. First air con controls I have seen on an E30.

Thanks, ocde30! I've seen it on a few, early models had a single button for A/C with no recirculation control. Will be converting to R134a and getting it ready for the summer as soon as possible.
Thanks

ABS ,OBC and air con a 318i well specked up,that's a beautiful example.just my opinion, about the spoiler idea,I've got one on my car and I really don't like it as it doesn't do much for the lines of the back end, but as I said that's just my opinion ,as for for BBS and mirrors a big yes.

Lovely.
I wouldn't bother with 15" wheels. They just spoil the ride and handling.

Very clean, you don't see many like this for sale anymore. I would de-badge the boot, fit some 15 bbs, is front lip and lower it 30mm. Then colour code the mirrors/bumpers.

Thanks for the comments all. Lowering is on the cards, looks like it's on stilts at the moment!
iS front lip, good shout that. Bumper colour coding may be a long term update, mirrors i'll put up a wanted once i'm ready.
BanHar - what makes you say the ride is spoiled with 15s? I've pretty much always had 15s and my 325i had 14s when I bought it and I felt it a bit firmer with 15s but not that detrimental?
Spoiler can be a bit marmite, I may do the other things first then decide after about the spoiler. Similar to coachline, some hat it but I love it.
Thanks

I used to use 15" BBS in the summer and 14" steelies in the winter and the 14"s give a much nicer ride imo.

The 14" wheels give a better ride because of the higher sidewalls.

Thanks, Ben. 65 profile is definitley more forgiving, I'd probably go 14s if it was a daily driver but I just love the look of the 15s with 205/55 on. 16s would probably a bit too big for my liking even though I do love Hartge 16s. Is the iS lip just a snap in or is it screwed?

The iS lip is just clipped in, so unfortunately very easy to steal.

Thanks, Cloggy. Never knew that, my 325s one never got stolen but i'm pretty sure I saw some screws in it!
