bought a 318IS last month as it was too good a price to refuse, car was standard except for 17" wolfrace alloys which i got rid of, was also missing the chin spoiler, it was ment to be a run anout but its a cracking little car and looks good next to the m3 so i'm keeping it for a bit and doing a few mods!!

as i said she was standard when i got her(except the 17" wheels), but here is a full spec and the changes i've done
16" AC schnitzer alloys, with falken 205/45 and 225/40 tyres
sparco twin tube front strut brace
se sides kirts, tech one rear spoiler, colour coded door handles, repainted wing mirrors (covered in stone chips and scratches)
real carbon bmw badge front and rear AC badges on boot and grill
smoked front indicators, side repeters and tail lights
standard is interior with AC steering wheel, gear nob, h/brake and peddals
soon to be added will be AC pin stripes to finish of the outside
H&R cup suspension/eibach anti roll bars/full polly bush kit rear s/brace
stainless/s exhaust with AC tail pipe,LSD, b&m short shift, re-map air filter, possibly half cage and maybe nitrous
oh and some ice

yep, dips painted the bits for me, fairly simple to fit, mind you mine almost fell off till i did them properly!!
the clips you get from bmw's Ԛ£5 for a pack of ten, they clam them on to the underside of the sills and hold the skirt on, you are supposed to drill in to the sills and use top clips but i bonded them on with ............................ no nails !!!! perfect for the job and no chance of rust
hold them in place for an hour or so with a pair of mole grips at each end and done!

				cheers mate.
I got the clips waiting and the skirts painted, just got to get them on the car now.
Just dont want to drill all the holes and find out they are all crooked when they go on.
Ill bare your tip in mind though!

a mate to help out is always good, but i manage on my own
dont worry about the no nails silicon/bonding, it works perfectly
was going to use the stuff they bond winscreens in with but dips ran out!!

that is a loverly motor! How much didi you get her for? She looks in fantastic condition with absolutly NO rust on it and the sils look like new! and those wheels look fa tastic in black with polished rims! hehe

i got a good deal on her, look at the top for more details, that all i'll say

the sills are spot on with no rust, i just added skirts to her. you normaly have to dril in and fit clips but i chose to bond them on and use clips on the bottom/under side only!!
there are one or two spots but nothing worth worrying about as its surface only developing from a scratch, its an honest clean car that why i bought it !! not rust on the arches or jacking points where they normally go, however there were front mud flaps which are notorious for attracting "growth" or the dreded red stuff, i removed them but all seems good there as well !! the only thing tht bugs me on the car is the usual e30's prob of scuttle rust (i have in on the 316i lux and M3) but in good time it will get sorted.
thanks for the positive feed back !!
