I bought this today ...my 2nd chance of owning it came about last night when i checked gumtree searches this came up .
320i auto convertible with new roof and full indigo blue sports leather including perfect matching door cards ...it has an uncracked dash and the quietest m20 i have heard
i tried to buy it late spring last year but my offer was refused .
any way it's mine now ,it started first time and runs/drives spot on so i'm very happy so far .
it will be getting some BBS alloys, the car is totally standard with everything intact and that's how it's staying .
^ i'm sure that will please most of you lot
no rear headrests or boot spoiler = nice clean looks =
should be getting delivered sometime today .

Nice buy mick, and a great looking roof - was it as described, certainly looks it. Lovely car.
Only downside is that it's a shitty manual roof..

it has some issues but not too bad ... it's had all new hard brake lines, discs and pads all round looking at mot history on gov. mot checker .
it's not a show car but the inner and outer rear wheel arches, valance are all present

Yes, I think he* was facebooking when he stuck his Escalade up the 4rse of the Lexus and sent the poor old biddy to death by Hummer
* As well as the above minor issue, Bruce has issues with his /her /its sexuality and is rumoured to be on the look out for an E30 convertible to celebrate his pending meatandvegectomy !

Sounds like inspecting a rusty roof/sill/scuttle with a certain part of the anatomy might do the freak a favour

i think it's best to keep it standard, it's more economical this way
it needs an mot but nothing is happening to this one until the 318is is back on the road .
i'll change the wheels over the weekend if it's not snowing

when i looked around this car i noticed that it doesn't have any factory lifting pads on the front floors and no sign of welding .. i presume these weren't tacked on to cabs ?
regarding the gearbox fluid,it's just below the minimum mark.would i get away with topping it up through the dipstick tube to be cheeky ?

That is the correct way to top it up.
But it is probably worth changing the oil and the filter in the box.

It definitely is more economical

besides don't blame you since you already have the other beast. Look forward to the 3.0 engine rebuild on that

The front floor / sill area on a convertible is much more substantial than an E30 saloon. God/ Allah knows how wobbly they would be without all the extra reinforcements !
