My lazer blue 318IS - M52 swapped

Been a member for a while now but never posted up any photos of my car, probably not going to please everyone because I've lowered it but it was due for the scrap yard when I brought it so it's got to be better than that!
Future plans are an M52B28 and an LSD but it's not set in stone yet.

Looks good to me Dave,
where abouts are you based? also what suspension you runnnig? as I've recently bought some GAZ coilovers for my project but it's basically a shell atm

Thanks! I'm based just North of Derby, I'm running DIY coilovers up front using vw corrado g60 dampers and shortened the standard strut housing and welded on the threaded adjuster so I can run coilover springs, gets the job done and is better than the pro sport/JOM ones off eBay but they're still not a touch on the GAZ setup you have though.

When you say "it was due for the scrap yard" what do you mean? What was wrong with it? Dont look bad now

Cheers gem I'm no expert with a camera, could do with getting some proper shots done really
I brought it from someone I used to work with and he had it sat on his drive rotting away for years, it wasn't in a good way when I got it, luckily the interiors in good nick and one of my mates is quite handy with a welder so the rust wasn't to expensive to sort out, could still do with a respray though but that's on the list for next year

Thanks! I love the wheels but I know they won't be to everyone's taste especially on here where people prefer the OEM look

Them railway line pics are great , you need some "in motion" ones driving/wheel spinning, lots of potential for nice pics there

Thanks for the positive comments
I need to find someone with a decent camera to do it justice I think.

That's very nice. The 318iS is of course, the ultimate drivers' car, being the "baby M3", and the crop of the BMW 3 series range.

Thanks! Should be acquiring a new front splitter and some side skirts in the next week or so, then after that I'll be attempting to smoke the headlights

Nice car pal, really interested in your suspension setup at the front ? any chance u could send me a few pics ? also have u raised your engine or modified the sump ? sumps are ridiculous on are 4 pots lol. Thanks

Yeh I'll send you some pics no problem! No I've not raised the engine but I probably would if I wasn't planning on replacing it at the end of the year, Ive fitted a sump guard that I made out of chequer plate which is doing a good job at the minute. I'm also running a pretty stiff spring rate to stop it catching as much; but if I wanted to go any lower I would have to raise the engine for sure!
