I presume they are Alarm Sensors but with the Hifi costing a whopping £426.00, I thought these might contain something special :-)
Indeed, they are ultrasonic (40kHz) transducers for an alarm, to detect movement. One is a transmitter, while the other is the receiver. Very '80s tech. 8)

Only snag is, they were very susceptible to setting off false alarms in windy conditions.
