Well its about time this one was pulled out of the den and seen some light.
Picked this low owner Tech 1 sport up in early 2012, was bit of a sad story behind it. Previous owner parked it up outside his house for a year and within that year someone had pinched silly things of it, owner did not notice until the front seats went missing

.
Then for the next 12 years it was laid up in a lock up, and that's when I got it!
Plan is to make it as new and original as possible
Where it was hiding for 12 years
Coming out of hibernation
So after almost two years in my ownership its finally getting the attention it deserves.
And the pulling it apart started
Nice clean tech 1 kit, rot free bumpers, all the correct tech under shields and ducts
After inspecting it properly last week with a sharp object was pretty pleased with it.
All the front half of the car is pretty much solid, floors are good but jacking points need cleaning up, bulkhead, scuttle, chassis, roof are all fine.
Engine bay looking a bit messy
The rusty bits are rear inner arches, back panel needs some attention, boot battery tray and rear arches, and rear half of the sills.
rear arhes
Back panel
Battery tray
Sill dented
So after a long discussion with Sytner this lot turned up yesterday.
Brand new quarters, Inner arches, back panel and some other seals etc
On order is a hole load of other trims, clips etc to get this project moving.
Will update with more pics and progress this week

So a bit of a update
back panel removed and areas all cleaned
After that was done the battery tray was removed and a replacement was welded in.
Once the tray was done the d/s quarter was drilled/picked out along with the inner arch.

Temporarily holding the inner arch in place
As long as there are no distractions hopefully by the end of the week should have one side done and the other side started

Bit of an update
Not much as hoped but have to put it on hold when work comes in!
Interior has been stripped, roof lining out, sunroof out and inspected and well happy with no rust issues there.
Drivers quarter is done just needs sealing but will do that all together once the whole back end is done.
The passenger quarter and inner arch has all been picked off and areas all cleaned.
Bit more rust was found on the sill up to the door so its all been picked off ready for a new sill section.
A couple of pics

Passenger side is not far off from being done
Some pictures
The sill section was cleaned up and spot welded on
Then the inner arch was spot welded on
And the quarter is half way done
Back panel temporarily hanged on
Hopefully side will all be complete tomorrow and enough time back panel might be on
