Cheers guys
It does squat nicely when you put your hoof down, and traction has never actually been a problem (unless you really provoke it

)
Last time it was on the rollers, it gave 315bhp, but not sure if this was a legit, or 'tweaked' by the rolling road people....long story....
Charlie,
The video is hosted on my Tiscali web space (50 megs free when you sign up for Broadband). I just uploaded it from my PC using FTP.
Cheers,
Ian.
P.S. At the end of that 2 mile runway, it was doing 157mph (measured with GPS gear). I was pleasantly surprised how controlled it was at that speed as well. With a bit more tarmac (or concrete in this case), I reckon it would probably make 160mph, but I think that's about the limit due to the aerodynamics. You would need different gearing and a LOT more power to go much faster in a regular E30 body.

That is one rapid takeoff.....did the other guy know that was gonna happen?
I can't imagine his face...

......

..........

.......

..........

or something like that.
Were you running 1/4 mile times?
And what tyres did you have? Gotta be slicks to hold back 315 odd ponies from lighting up the rears....

I know the guy in the other car, so he knew what he was up against
Not running 1/4 mile times, just having a play really.
Tyres were 215/40/17 Bridgestone S03's when that was taken. I've just got a good launch technique

I have only visited the Pod once.
Best time was 14 seconds dead at 100mph, but that was in full fat fighting weight with my sub box and all

Assuming I'm not working, I would probably be up for another trip to the Pod. I work weird shifts though, so not always available.
Sorry, no more soundclips or vids at the mo. Does sound nice though
Ian.

Ian,
Whenever you plan to go to the Pod, let me know, cos I'd be well up for seeing this car for real, and watching peoples amazement!
