Adam's E30 316i Touring! Slammed on 16x9's now!

Hey everyone! Introduced myself on the new members section a few days back but for those who didn't see it, im Adam, im 19 from Wigan and il admit im a self confessed car and cleaning nut so get ready and used to plenty of photos of parts being taken off, cleaned and built back up!
My previous car was a SEAT Arosa, yes it's actually blue not white, extremely rare colour, I showed the car in the summers, abused it in the winters and it achieved Runner up Best Arosa 2012 and since then its now the the Best Arosa 2013 on the Club Lupo forum before i sold it on!! It was lowered 120mm, full custom suspension set up on 15x7 BBS RW's, it had a full custom sub install and loads of little one off mods and changes, something similar i'd like to do to my E30
Heres the car.. (Link to my thread if anyones interested -

Anyway, Thats enough of that now heres my E30! Its had some paintwork on stone chipped areas, engine rebuild, new bumpers, fog lights and been well looked after for 19/20 years! My only current problems are the rev counter isnt picking anything up, it does from time to time but ive researched it and ive a few ideas on getting it working, also my power steering racks managed to pop a seal out and is leaking everywhere haha so a new one is now on order

Today i changed my thermostat as it was stuck open and i wasn't getting any temperature in the engine..

Removed the viscous fan and the cowling, cleaned them both with Auto Glym Shampoo and dressed them with vinyl and rubber care...before and after of the cowling..

Also removed the bumpers and detailed behind them before washing the bodywork ;)

And lastly my little Paul Walker tribute ;)

Thats all for tonight everyone, expect updates on cleaning and modifying soon!

Well I've not been on for a while, since then I've got hold of some coilovers and wheels, the coilovers are only budget JOM's and the wheels are rare Borbet RST's 16x9 et20, pretty shabby when I bought them, running 196/45/16's and 15mm rear spacers, I've detailed under the arches and also refurbished the headlight surrounds and some other little bits
Il let the photos do the talking

Next I want either the larger splitter of the higher model or try a Mk3 Golf VR6 splitter to make the front appear lower, it needs a sump guard as the sumps perilously low, and it'll be getting a customer sub install this coming week

looking good mate although i think you should have gone for slightly wider rear tyres and ditch the spacers. what are your plans engine wise?

Good job on the cleaning and stat fix, looked a decent car, but the tyre stretching and crazy lowering is a vag scummer trait you should have left behind as it doesnt suit the E30 at all

Dat ass! Each to their own it's your car your mods, I respect the effort involved. Removing the rear bumper to clean behind it!
Keep the pics coming what're the plans? What interior you got?

Haha yes I doubt very much he was, the sticker would better off on that monstrosity of a Seat.

It's all about the gape
Respect for the fully paedoed turd. If the OP is so positively paedophillic at 19, imagine what he will be like when he is Trevors age ?

He'll either be on the register and doing a stretch or in his garage doing a body off resto on a Herald Courier , cough

Pacerpete what the f**k are you on about.
The lads a car nut leave him to it and let him do what he wants to HIS CAR.
Also Dusty23 there is nothing wrong with the lads Seat Arosa.

You are new around here aren't you ? I was being polite and having some banter with the OP . As you are a sorry peasant, you will not be shown the same courtesy , so do one

Why does a 19 year old need his Dad on the internet coming to the rescue! First for me, i'm gonna get my mum to sign up see if she will wade in when Pete starts on me. Shes a head teacher don't you know
I'd chill a bit turbo two tone.

+ VAT as well.
Seriously - nice car, but the usual Stancecock mods. Half arsed coilovers that don't have any dust covers - they'll be scrap in 3-4 months, assuming the sump doesn't get smashed first. Still, good M40 engines are only 2-300 quid.
The wheels and tyres are just ridiculous. Give it up before it's too late.
