Andrew has been doing this one. He's been really impressed with it. I think it was the last one he done that was a bit more involved.

Cheers, but no credit to me really it was built by a guy off here called beardymat a few years ago. theres a thread somewhere.
Would like to see it when its done, where you based? Also where did you get it painted ,is it a good job?

Hi, its Barry who came and initially looked at the M3 and put you in touch with Andrew.

Hello Barry small world hope you are well. Don't think I ever thanked you properly for putting me in touch with andrew. It's all starting to come together now. We decided to leave the supercharger until next year.
Dusty
The body shop have done a really good job the place is based up in Cambridge there were a few issues regarding how long it took but these things happen and it was worth waiting for. Im in north London so not to far.

I'm in north london, would be definitely interested in having a look once its done.

I'm feeling poor too. That's why it's going to be next year hopefully. I haven't had the final bill for the spray. The supercharger was with it but meant a new ecu plus mapping so had to cap the spending

It all adds up even the little things!
Was thinking of paint at some point so would be good to see how yours came off.
Did you strip it down yourself or just give it to them.

If it is the car I think it is the old owner took it out he was also about to remove this engine and fit a v10 but like I said it may be a completely different car

This car is sterling silver and the previous owner did have an S85 V10 to go in.

sorry i haven't responded the notifications haven't been pinging through.
if you know paul then you probably know more about the cars history than me . i can ask the family if the v10 is still available as i know they were trying to sell it when i bought the car.
i would have bought it but maxes myself out getting the car.

It's okay mate they offered us the engine back when the car was still available are you keeping the s50 in it ?

Yes sticking with the s50. I'm pretty sure it will be quick enough if not the supercharger will be done next year I would also like to point out I'm the most non technical person when it comes too cars. Hence andrew being an absolute legend.

Was the car clean? He was a perfectionist as far as the engine conversion was going

Think it was about feb. He was from hoddeston. The car was nearly finished what had been done was amazing . The underneath of the car is like brand new.I couldn't understand why he was going for the v10 without finishing the supercharger conversion.

yes its the same fella he had his own business doing the alternators
he was doing a r1 engined quad as well. He just loved his projects .

Yeah very clever bloke and massive attention to detail real shame he didn't get the chance to finish it did the car come with any diffs?

there was some diffs but not sure if they are still there. again I'm not very technical so don't know what ones they are.

Thanks Neil, but really this car is a tribute to Paul, its very obvious how much time he had spent on the car getting it to this stage. Every nut and bolt has been replaced. All the windows, the trims, the interior, the carpet, the dash etc etc is all brand new from BMW (smells like a new car inside).
I think Paul enjoyed the technical problem solving with the car more than driving it, which is why he had the V10 ready to shoe horn in.
There's a lot to finish off with this car, and I will post more progress photos when I can
